Police Arrest Three As Woman Found Without Head In Adamawa Hotel

The Adamawa State Police Command, has arrested three people in connection with a lady who was found dead with head cut off.

The spokesman of the state command, SP Suleiman Nguroje, narrated how a yet to be identified man beheaded his girlfriend, Bilikisu Idi at an annex of Happy Hour Hotel in Karewa Borehole, Jimeta, Yola North Local Government Area of Adamawa State.

Nguroje told THE WHISTLER on Friday, that the guy went to lodge at the hotel with Idi around 8pm-8:30pm on Thursday.

He said: “After he booked, he documented himself using a fake name and lodged in. Two hours later, he just came out carrying a bag he went in with, telling the receptionist that his girlfriend was still inside but he wanted to buy something, he now went.

“Unfortunately they didn’t raise an alarm, they didn’t bother to check, they didn’t bother to check why he must come along with somebody and leave alone.

“They didn’t bother to find out why he must come with a bag and leave with the same bag if actually he was going to buy something.”

The police further officer narrated that when the receptionist noticed that two hours had passed and the guy didn’t return, she went into the room to check.

However, on entering the room she didn’t see the girlfriend in the and thought they had left.

“She now checked the toilet and found her lying in blood and raised an alarm that attracted the attention of the manager of the hotel who equally arrived. The attention of the command was called upon,” he said.

According to Nguroje, the Commissioner of Police in the state directed the Divisional Police Officer (DPO) to proceed with investigating the case and they discovered that the lady was lying in a pool of blood and her head was cut off.

Nguroje said: “The head could not be traced right now as I’m talking to you. So, there, another team of crime expert detectives were deployed to the area, luckily, at least a handset and some drugs (one of the drugs was identified as tramadol) were recovered.

“The handset was off when it was discovered. It was under lock, so luckily we were able to unlock it.”

He also said with the help of the handset, the command was able to trace the former husband of the deceased.

According to him, she was formerly married and had one kid, but “unfortunately they separated, or the husband said he divorced her not up to two months ago. So that was what happened.”

“As I’m talking to you now, an investigation is ongoing. Three suspects were arrested in connection to the case we are investigating.

“The receptionist, the security guard of the hotel and the manager. So they are now in protective custody. So as it is now the body was moved to hospital.”
