Ten Hag Hails Mainoo For Match-winning Goal Against Wolves

Manchester United manager, Erik Ten Hag, has showered praises on young star, Kobbie Mainoo following his match-winning goal in the 4-3 win over Wolves at the Molineux on Thursday night.

Mainoo scored his first Premier League goal to hand Manchester United the maximum points in the 97th minute.

The Red Devils raced to a 2-0 lead in the first half thanks to goals from Marcus Rashford and Rasmus Hojlund and also lost a 3-1 lead in the second half.

Wolves rallied their way back into the encounter in the second half to make it 3-3 before Mainoo turned the game around.

Scott McTominay came of the bench to make it 3-1 with a stunning header.

Pablo Sarabia pulled one back from the penalty spot in the 71st minute before Wolves captain Kilman made it 3-2 with a close range finish in the 85th minute.

Pedro Neto thought he had snatched a point for the hosts in the 95th minute with a superb finish from a counter-attacking move.

The 18-year-old Mainoo had the last say with a sublime finish into the bottom corner to send Manchester United fans into wild jubilations.

Erik Ten Hag is full of praise for the young star for his impressive performance against Wolves.

Ten Hag said: “He is making incredible progress,” Ten Hag told the reporter. “He has great abilities is the modern midfield player. He can defend and attack but also he has the physicality to do both ways. He is also composed.”
