Bayern Munich Improvise As Players Begin Training Amid Coronavirus

Bundesliga League leaders, Bayern Munich resumed training on Monday for the first time since the Bundesliga was suspended due to the Coronavirus pandemic.

The players kept a 1.5 metre distance from each other and arrived the training ground at varying times to avoid contacts, greetings , handshakes and hugs.

The 21 players were divided into five groups and each group had a minimum of five players.

At the changing room, the players kept four metre distance from each other.

On the field of play, the players maintained zero tackles on the pitch and kept there distance from each other.

Bayern goal keeper Manuel Neuer said: “It was a very unusual feeling to hold a training session in small groups, but it was also nice to see the boys in person again.”

The players headed home straight and did not shower at the training facility as food was provided in lunch boxes.

Bayern Munich are four points ahead on the league table with Dortmund and RB Leipzig in hot pursuit.

Recall that Germany has active cases of the Coronavirus pandemic as it has recorded 101,214 confirmed cases and 1,622 fatalities.
