HAPPENING NOW: Owerri Police Division Under Attack [VIDEOS]
The Orji police divisional headquarters in Owerri, Imo State, is currently under attack by yet-to-be identified gunmen.
Our correspondent gathered that the heavily armed attackers arrived at the police division dressed in black-on-black outfits and a red beret.

The Imo State police spokesperson, Bala Elkana, confirmed the attack to THE WHISTLER, but said the police were currently repelling it.
“The operation is still ongoing now, that is what we are on now. We have repelled the attack but we are still engaging them in a gun battle.
“We are dominating at the moment. After the operation, I will give you updates,” said Elkana.

Our correspondent reports that the incident caused panic amongst residents of the area who scampered to safety to avoid being attacked.
