JUST IN: Fire Guts 14-Storey Building In Lagos

A 14-storey building on Broad Street, Lagos Island, has been gutted by fire.

According to the Director of the Lagos State Fire and Rescue Service, Margaret Adeseye, the fire started from the first floor and has now reached the fourth floor of the building.

Currently, firefighters from the Ebute Elefun and Sari Iganmu Fire Stations are on-scene trying to bring the fire under control.

“A warehouse in a 14 storey building is on fire. The fire originated on the first floor and has now reached the fourth floor,” she said in a statement.

Adeseye said the cause of the fire is yet to be ascertained, adding that no casualty has been recorded.
