Nigeria’s Uchenna Kanu Named Women Player Of The Year In The USA

Nigerian born Uchenna Kanu has won the women player of the year 2019, following a record-breaking performance in the United State.

The National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics (NAIA) gave the Southeastern club maestro the award after she pulled 366 points which was first in the history of NAIA.

Also, the Supper Eaglet forward emerged the all-time career leader with 157 goals in the history of NAIA.

Votes were however cast by NAIA-Women’s Soccer Coaches Association officers, seven additional coaches and three 11-member teams who voted Monday.

The 21-year-old Kanu starred as the Supper Eaglet reached the round of 16 in the last Women’s World Cup in France, being first in twenty years.
