Group Unveils Scorecard, Backs Tinubu’s 2027 Re-election

A political support group, the Tinubu Impact Movement (TIM), has unveiled what it described as an evidence-based midterm scorecard of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s administration, urging Nigerians to support the continuity of the Renewed Hope Agenda beyond 2027.

At a press conference in Abuja on Thursday, TIM leaders said early policy decisions taken by the administration—though initially painful—are now yielding measurable gains across key sectors, including the economy, education, security, health and social welfare.

National Chairman of TIM, Chief Dr. Obinna Ebirim, said the assessment was based on data and verifiable outcomes, not partisan sentiments. He argued that reforms in public finance, energy pricing and foreign exchange management were deliberate corrective measures taken in the long-term national interest.

According to him, TIM would continue to highlight policy gains and bridge what he termed a communication gap that allows misinformation to thrive.

On education, TIM National Secretary, Dr. Ajibola Meraiyebu, said funding rose from about ₦1.54 trillion in 2023 to ₦3.52 trillion in 2025. He added that the Nigerian Education Loan Fund (NELFUND) has disbursed ₦161.97 billion to about 864,798 students nationwide, helping to curb dropouts.

TIM’s Borno State Coordinator, Muhammad Elzubairu, cited increased TETFund and UBEC interventions, improved infrastructure and renewed emphasis on digital skills and entrepreneurship.

On the economy, TIM Director of Finance, Mr. Omasirichi Nmecha, acknowledged hardship linked to subsidy removal and forex reforms but said the measures boosted revenue, improved FAAC allocations to states, strengthened reserves and restored investor confidence.
Security Director, Edward Ndahi, said better coordination, intelligence and troop welfare have reduced mass abductions, disrupted criminal networks and made major highways safer.

The group also highlighted gains in sports governance, youth development, interior ministry reforms, women inclusion and social protection. TIM members praised initiatives such as the Nigeria Youth Academy, YouthCred, Waste2Wealth programme and automation reforms in passport processing and emergency response.

On health, TIM noted expanded insurance coverage, renewed investment in primary healthcare and incentives for local pharmaceutical production.

Addressing ICT and governance, TIM Director of ICT, Hauwa Malami, cited the rollout of the 1-Government Cloud, which she said has improved service delivery in areas such as passport issuance, education financing and revenue tracking.
Concluding, Ebirim said the reforms reflect a coherent long-term agenda, arguing that continuity beyond 2027 is a rational, evidence-based choice.

“TIM remains committed to ensuring that facts, not falsehoods, shape public understanding as Nigerians make informed decisions about the future,” he said.
